Oxford, Spring 2011

Today was a beautiful day in Oxford. I took a walk through Christ Church Meadow and then past Merton College. The light was incredible, and I wanted to take some photos, even if all I had was my iPhone.

Dear Robert, we have lots of blooms over here in San Diego, but not a lot of daffodils, and none in the shadow of such beautiful architecture as that found at Oxford. How dare you leave us for England, oh Great and Magnificent Multimedia Manager of mine! Oh, England is lovely, isn’t it….I’m a wee bit jealous after looking through your site, although I’m sure we get a smidgen more sunshine than you do over there at your different altitude and all. How are Garrett and Megan?? I can’t believe that you’re teaching, but it seems perfect given all that you used to teach when I worked with you. It doesn’t seem like it should be as many years ago as it was that I worked with you, but I guess it was. Julio and I just had our 10th wedding anniversary, so it’s been a while since I’ve seen anyone from the old crew, except for Jeannette. Are you on Facebook? Anyways, it’s 3:21 am here and I should be in bed. I’m actually just loading audiobooks onto my new mp3 player and time has gotten away from me. I hope all is well with you and that the sun is still shining on you regularly out there in Oxford
